My head was pounding. The ability to turn my neck, left or right, had left me several days earlier, due to stress. Every cell of my being was screaming for me to get up, move, run for the exit, never look back. That wasn’t possible. Quitting time had come and gone about 45 minutes earlier. I was trapped in yet another department meeting, listening to what I considered to be ceaseless whining about something, we as a team, had no control over. It was my opinion of course, not matching the eager, wide eyed ladder climbers of about half of my department. What was I doing here? What was I doing here? This used to be fun!
